I like this word

This going to bed at 10:30 business means I'm wide awake before sunrise. Unacceptable. I tried to stay in bed, but I had one line from one song ("...beaten into submission in the name of the free"), so that, too, was unacceptable, and here I am, steeling myself for getting into the shower in this chilly house. My brain alternates, in the early morning, between singing songs to me, thinking about work, and designing the new house.

The Braingle word of the day is ex-cur-sive :: adj

Constituting a digression or characterized by digression.

"We are wandering, however, into excursive speculations, when our intention was merely to give an idea of the nature of the wilderness which Mr. Hunt was about to traverse" -- Irving, Washington

I, too, have a single line from a song stuck in my head today. What makes it worse is that it's from a song I haven't heard since probably 1991.

If Jesse don't like it, it don't stay;
get it out of the museum, get it out of there today

I didn't even know who sang it until I just Googled it -- turns out it's Loudon Wainwright!

Oh, that's two lines. But you know what I mean.
