1. Your LiveJournal user name and what it means: kismet09 is a combination of my username and my subscription number on the first seven-line ddial bbs system ever (Jokertown, c. 1994), where i first became addicted to the internet. the name 'kismet' meant nothing at the time -- i'm not even sure i had a good handle on what it meant, but as i brainstormed for handles, it showed up in my brain, and i've used it ever since.
2. On a scale of 1-10 (10 being the highest) how well does your LiveJournal represent who you actually are? Sixish? Of course, a lot of the me is in posts that have been filtered, so not so many of you would know all the different pieces that end up here.
3. How much about your life do you post to LJ? I try to use it mostly to help me remember important events, interactions, and emotions. I get quite a lot of it down.
4. Is there anything you refuse to post about? As far as personal life stuff? Not really. But it might be locked up.
5. On a scale of 1-10 how interesting do you think your own journal is to others? Fourish? It's such a random little thing. I'm amazed anyone reads it sometimes.
6. Has anyone ever joined LJ because of you? Ye.
7. What proportion of your posts are friends only? Twenty-five of the last forty, and that seems pretty representative, so 5/8 = 62.5%
8. What are your top five favourite interests on LJ? As far as my list of interests? Why try to pick five? As far as things that interest me to read on livejournal? Posts from people I know in real life; pretty pictures; introspective entries that aren't overly angsty; crafty pictures; nifty quizzes that really say something.
9. How often do you post in communities, and did you ever start your own? Not very often, and I don't tend to read many anymore, because I don't have the time. I've never started my own.
10.How often do you respond to/comment on other people's journals? Most days.
11. Do you prefer to write in your journal or read other journals? I prefer to write, but there are many people whom I wish would post more 'cause I like reading 'em so much.
12.Have you ever had something mean said to you or been stalked, harassed, or got into an argument on LJ? Nah. Unless there are stalkers out there about whom I don't know. But no dangerous ones, either way.
13. Have you ever banned someone from your journal? No.
14.Who are your four favorite LJ friend(s) and why?
mthgeek and
u4ic, and then it gets really tricky.
15.Why are you most likely to add someone to your friends list? They say intelligent things, and people on my list say nice things about them, or I meet them in real life and then find them here.
16.Do you automatically add friends to your journal if they add you first? No, but I'll head over to their journal and read them for awhile til I decide whether I'd like to.
17.What is the most likely reason you wouldn't add someone to your friends list? Poor grammar/lack of readability. Me = snob.
18.Is your "significant other" on LJ? see #14.
19.Have you ever wanted to meet someone on LJ? Assuming this means meet someone in real life whom I read on livejournal, then yes. This question confuses me.
