1000 and counting

I was double-checking my Scrabble rating (which is apparently 1269), and noticed that my ranking is 1000. I am the 1000th best player by ranking playing competitive Scrabble right now :) This is largely because I've gotten lucky at tournaments. My next tourney is May 15, and I'm starting the studying process now. Studying for this one involves playing lots of games online and studying the three letter word list with hook letters (e.g., NOG takes S as a front hook to form SNOG), and four letter word list, as well as Bingo lists. I want to win a tournament. I've come in second twice now, and both times in a come-from-behind sort of way. I want to win. Unfortunately, I'm now in a higher division than I was, so winning gets much more difficult. Hence the studying.
I benched a full set of 65 pounds last night. I need to start working out the rest of my body so that I'm not too uneven, but none of the ab or leg exercises that I know motivates me much.
Also, did I mention that I loved The Golden Compass? What a wonderful book! I read and read, non-stop, and have slowed down a little in The Subtle Knife, but mostly due to lack of time. I have to have a few hours I can set aside to read once I pick the book up, so I haven't let myself do it. The world that Pullman creates is so believeable and wonderful. I want to live there.
Okay, hours of work to do once again.
